2017 KIDS OCEAN DAY
2016 KIDS OCEAN DAY
Over 4,000 kids, teachers, parents, and volunteers from 32 schools spent the morning cleaning the beach, sorting through trash, and forming a large kid-driven seascape of SEA CREATURES & BUBBLES, on the sand. A LITTER-FREE OCEAN is the global ocean protection message of the 23rd annual Kids Ocean Day Adopt-A-Beach Clean-Up, by reducing litter and the everyday trash and plastic that flows down the city streets, killing marine life and polluting food resources. Organized by the Malibu Foundation, City of Los Angeles, Keep LA Beautiful, California Coastal Conservancy and the California Coastal Commission. 2014 KIDS OCEAN DAY
Nearly 4,000 Los Angeles kids, teachers and volunteers send a giant text message from the ocean to “CLEAN ME UP :)” as part of the 21st annual Kids Ocean Day Adopt-A-Beach Clean-Up organized by the Malibu Foundation, City of Los Angeles, Spectral Q, Keep LA Beautiful and the California Coastal Commission in Los Angeles May 15, 2014. The kids are alerting the world about the need to help the ocean and protect it from the everyday trash and plastic litter that flow down the streets, killing marine life and polluting food resources.
